One of Kuleana's greatest achievements

Ninety degrees has been a staple when it comes to construction. Look in the dictionary under "corner" and there may be a small 90⁰ graphic and a city planner with his thumb in the air and a smile. During the design review of this project, it's said that fisticuffs broke out on no less than three different occasions, including an incident with a barista who had nothing to do with the project at all. People like their ninety degrees.
This project took a corner lot and utilized its height and unobstructed views to create a nest that left 90⁰ corners for more utilitarian pockets of the house, while embracing acute and obtuse angles where it counts.

Created in the first place to be a classic

The paint is hardly dry yet and this project has been voted "Most likely to" a dozen times already. Do what? Whatever.

Yes, the location is amazing, but try not to get hung up on that. First, scroll through the images below, and what do you notice? We'll wait... Well? If you weren't distracted by the incredible staging, then you noticed the strategic use of parallel lines to connect segments in a way that maintains motion. You notice how your eye wants to keep moving? The windows, doorways, the mix of horizontal lines punctuated with vertical elements? Don't think for a minute that was by accident. Even the flooring was chosen to maximize movement.
